These are the showstoppers of the collection. These shell brooches are actually in the style of ammonites reflecting the interest in the natural world by people in the 1920/30s.
Designed in the 1930s but manufactured in the 1950s in the Czech Republic.
Moulded glass with brass pin.
Hand made, these brooches are over seventy years old.
They were made in a glass button factory in the town of Smržovka in the Czech Republic. The factory has been closed for many years.
I sourced these brooches from a glass button collector.
