This is a wonderful example of how to use every technique possible on one small brooch.
We have a hand blown green glass moon, claw set into a brass or copper pressed metal setting. Three small circular discs containing pressed and reverse painted glass discs of flowers dangle from the edge. They are red, yellow and blue.
It is a fantastic thing.
Based on the style and the materials I think it made have been produced in the Ottoman Empire and exported. Add in the pin and I can safely date this from the 1930s or earlier. It is the last one I have from this collection. Others had faux coins dangling from the bottom that were Ottoman in style.
Condition: Mint condition although it is obviously old.
