Seven years ago on 3 May 2017, I sold my first vintage brooch on Etsy. So yes, May has always been chilly in London.
I am inspired by brooches because they are more than an accessory. Brooches can be a signifier or symbol of a person’s style, personality or interests. They can draw people in or act as a shield and reflect focus.
My business goal was simple – “The customer came back happy. Again”.
I have learnt so much and met so many fabulous people along the way who have supported and encouraged me to thrive. Collaboration is a key part of my success. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my success.
I began with a small offering on Etsy in 2017. I started showcasing my brooches at local vintage fairs and found a regular weekend spot at a new market King’s Cross.
During lockdown I created my own website AUDRASBROOCHES.COM and began to showcase my brooches live on social media. I developed excellent relationships with international vintage dealers and the quality and range of my brooches improved immensely.
In Spring 2021 I returned to Canopy Market and I haven’t looked back.
Audra’s Brooches have featured in editorial content in the UK for British Vogue, Perfect, Homes & Antiques, as well as international magazines.
Frequently requested by stylists for their clients’ red carpet ensembles, Audra’s Brooches have been worn by guests at last year's GQ Man of the Year Awards and the 2023 and 2024 Brit Awards. They have graced the stage, small screen and hopefully the big screen soon.
Early on, I created a unique fashion hack using a small sponge to secure brooches onto any fabric allowing folk to wear brooches on anything they fancy. This simple fix allowed my business to thrive.
Audra's Brooches can be found at exclusive London events and weekly at Canopy Market in King's Cross.
Or shop online. My packaging is recyclable, secure and attractive suitable for gift giving. I ship globally.

Yes. I made and decorated the cupcake. And I write all the wordy bits. Errors are my own.
